Nantwich Canal Boat Hire
Useful information for your boating holiday
Through rural Cheshire towards the town of Nantwich
Leaving Middlewich by way of an arm of the Shropshire Union Canal, the route has fine views over the valley of the River Weaver before making its way directly through an area full of Shropshire's 'black and white cows' to the main line of the canal. From Barbridge Junction you would cruise left, taking you to the 'black and white buildings' of Nantwich. The charming market town of Nantwich stands on the banks of the Shropshire Union Canal. The canal provides a pretty green corridor to go for a walk and spot the local wildlife. The town has a historic market hall and a number of black-and-white half-timbered buildings. It plays host to several exciting festivals, including the Jazz and Blues Festival, the Nantwich and South Cheshire Show, and the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival.
